Activision Games released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2009 as a first-person shooter game, utilizing “in-game” graphics from Infinity Ward. The game involves a multi-national manhunt for Vladimir Makarov, the leader of the Ultranationalist special forces, in the South American jungle, as well as American rangers from the 75th Ranger Regiment tasked with defending the city of Washington, DC from an ultranationalist incursion. When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 concluded the main storyline in 2011, Activision released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Remastered in March for PlayStation 4 and later in April for Windows.
